On October 7-8, 2022, the teacher at the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Health, Dmytro Duzhy, took part in the conference “Health throughout life – the role of local self-government bodies in the formation of health care policy”, which was held in the city of Unejów (Poland ). The event was organized by the Association of the Kaliska-Ostrovsky agglomeration in cooperation with the Unejów municipality.
The conference was attended by representatives of local self-government bodies, scientists, practicing doctors and health care experts. The speakers discussed the situation in the field of health care, namely: the medical, sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region, drew attention to the challenges and needs in the field of health care as well as the need to popularize a healthy lifestyle outlining directions for further actions in the field of public health by 2030.
Dmytro Duzhiy delivered a report on health and rehabilitation routes – terrenkur which are actively being developed and implemented in the parks of Lviv. His master’s thesis was devoted to this topic.
