During July 2022, several students at the Faculty of History were on archaeological practice at the University of Rzeszów. It should be noted that this academic mobility is carried out within the framework of the concluded in 2017 Cooperation Agreement between the University of Rzeszów and Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University. Here is the full of the students: Yuliya Senysko, Vasylyna Tanchyn (both third year), Roksolana Altunina (second year), Olha Klysa, Olha Khomyn, Sofia Shmorgun (first year, bachelor’s program). As part of the practice program the students familiarized with the results of the large-scale archaeological research conducted by the scholars at the Institute of Archeology, University of Rzeszów and also had cultural and educational excursions to famous sights the castle (museum) in Łańcut, the museum of folk construction in Sanok, the district and ethnographic museums in Rzeszów.
The students, accompanied by Ivanna Luchakivska, the associate professor at the Department of History of Ukraine, had a meeting with the vice-rector for academic work and student affairs, qualified doctor of humanitarian sciences, professor of Rzeszów University Elżbieta Rokosz-Piejko. Drohobych University expresses sincere gratitude to the administration of Rzeszów University: Rector, Professor Sylwester Mirosław Czopek, Vice-Rector, Professor Elżbieta Rokosz-Piejko, Director of the Institute of Archeology, Professor Katarzyna Trybała-Zawiślak, Deputy Director of the Institute of Archaeology, Dr. Agnieszka Půlpánová-Reszczyńska for organizing the internship for Drohobych University students with free accommodation and meals and very interesting cultural and educational program. Special thanks to the Associate Professor Ivanna Luchakivska who initiated and supervised this archaeological practice for the students.
